Well finals are over and done!  Hooray!!  Now we are just waiting for grades to come in and applying to graduate schools for next fall.  We just applied to UNC Chapel Hill and we are working out the rest of our list, hopefully this weekend.  We spent the last two days helping my sister Amanda watch her kids while her husband was at work.  Amanda just had their third baby a week ago.  We had a fun time playing with the older two and we did our best to help out around the house.  Heather even gave their dog, Hank, a bath!
We carved Christmas Pumpkins with Robert and Alaina.  They were a big help.
In sadder news our Aggies did lose to Ohio at the Famous Idaho Potato Bowl but it was a close game and after so many 4 win seasons I am still super impressed at how well the team did this year.  Way to go Aggies!
This is Heather's finished Christmas Pumpkin.

In the spirit of trying to post more often than once a month I thought I would blog about the third "member" of our family.  He is a Leopard Gecko, his name is Toothless. (Yes, like the dragon from How to Train Your Dragon.)  We got him over the summer because I was going to campus everyday and Heather was left at home by herself.  She began to feel lonely so she asked if we could get a pet.  A lizard was not her first choice but it fit the bill of Heather being able to hold him and owning him would not get us kicked out of our apartment.  We like him a lot, especially since he decided we are okay a couple months ago.  Since then we've been able to touch him and pick him up without him hissing at us.  Here are a couple picks of Toothless in his terrarium.

Today is Heather's last day at the hospital!!!  It has been a crazy busy semester for her and I'll be glad when it is over and she can relax.  Her only final is an online one due tonight.  I also only have one final but it is in Classical Electrodynamics which seems to be the class that a number of my professors did not enjoy when they were graduate students.

We are in the last week of finals and it is shaping up to be a difficult one.  Heather is doing staff relief at the hospital this week, has about six online quizzes she needs to take, and her one final has been moved to this Friday instead of next Monday because her professor is having her baby this weekend!  We are praying hard she will be able to get through all of it.

Because of Heather's schedule I have become the official cook/baker.  On Monday Heather needed treats for her class in Salt Lake and today she needs some for a meeting at the hospital tomorrow.  Which is why I am awake at 1AM waiting for my dough to rise.  I will post pictures of the final product. : )

It was so good I didn't get a picture until it was half-eaten!
In more exciting news the Aggies are going bowling!  We haven't made it to a bowl game in years but we made it this year with a 7-5 record.  I had become accustomed to 4 win seasons so this is sensational (even if it is just the Idaho Potato Bowl).

So here goes our first post on this new blog.  I have been trying to start up a blog for a while but haven't had a lot of success.  Life is just busy.  In current news Heather just got her General GRE scores back and is pleased with the results.  Hopefully that means I'll be getting my results for the Physics GRE pretty soon as well.  We have been looking at graduate programs all over the place and at the moment I am leaning towards University of Michigan and North Carolina State University.

Some more happy news is USU beat BYU in basketball last night!  We are pleased even though we didn't go to the game.  There were people camping in front of the Spectrum the night before the game and with me being sick and Heather being so busy with her internship there was no way we were going to go wait in the cold for so long.
